Dr Anita's position as a doctor, householder and as a student & practitioner of Buddhism who has long been involved in various humanitarian projects at the grassroots level bestows her with a unique perspective during this global pandemic. In this informal chat, Dr Anita will share her insights and experiences and also lead us in a guided meditation practice on compassion. The session will end with a Q&A with the audience.
ABOUT DR ANITA
Dr Anita Kamath Dudhane is a physician who specializes in Allergies and Clinical Immunology. After her initial medical training in India she did her postgraduate studies in New York, receiving a MD/PhD. She is also a practicing Buddhist who earnestly tries to bring the teachings of the Buddha, especially on compassion into her medical practice and into her daily life as a mother, wife and daughter. She is also involved in various community projects such as the Voluntary Health Association of Goa which brings health to rural communities in Goa and she is currently working on introducing Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning in educational institutions.
